Event practicalities

Send pages first. Arrive ready to discuss them.

This eight-week course is capped at 12 pre-published or early-career writers. Before a workshop, each writer submits pages with a short note explaining the intended audience, goals, and questions. Peers arrive having read and annotated the draft, and the facilitator keeps the discussion tied to what the writer is trying to make.

Workshop the draft the writer is trying to make.

The preface keeps comments tied to the writer’s goals. Discussion identifies what readers understood, where they lost the thread, and which revision choices could close the gap.

Eli Ryder keeps the discussion focused.

Depending on cohort size, each participant receives two to four full-group workshops plus eight weeks of practice reading other writers closely. Enrollment is separate from membership.
